Bruce's bike, last Sunday, during the Fuzzy Boundaries parade through our neighbourhood. Residents were encouraging each other to come out and vote to name our neighbourhood.
The name Junction Triangle ended up winning. Bruce was somewhat disappointed, as his favourite name "Fuzzy Triangle" didn't make the Top 10 cut.

I mentioned before that Mosėdis, Lithuania is known for its rocks and beautiful landscaping. Everywhere you look, there rocks arranged various gardens and public spaces. Not really many sculptures or anything like that, but just big, heavy, interestingly-shaped rocks all over the place. Works very well with all the flowers and other natural landscaping.
I really enjoyed being there. I'd love to go back and walk or bike around while exploring the town.

My neighbourhood rules. How often does YOUR neighbourhood have a Ukrainian marching band tour the whole 'hood playing Final Countdown and encouraging residents to come out to vote for a community naming project? Not too often, eh?

A cyclist rides past the former D&M Hardware building at 229 Wallace Ave. in my 'hood. This building was transformed into a temporary canvas displaying the top 10 names for the "Fuzzy Boundaries" neighbourhood naming project. Voting wraps up tomorrow, Sunday March 14th.
The building is supposed to be demolished a couple of weeks from now to make way for a new commercial structure.

One more photo from Vilnius, Lithuania last year. This is Gedimino Pilis (Gediminas Castle), part of the Vilnius Castle Complex.
I'm posting this today because it's March 11th, the 20th anniversary of Lithuanian Independence Day. In 1990, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania voted unanimously to re-establish independence from the USSR, who had occupied Lithuania since 1940.
