Sign, sign, everywhere a sign

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign

October 16, 2010, at the corner of Eddy St. and Mason St. in San Francisco.

I don't know what it is about San Francisco, but I found the commercial signage to be really cool here, especially on the old hotels, bars and theatres. Some of it is stuck in a bit of a time-warp. So yeah, I took a tons of photos of signs, theatre facades, etc.

And wow, here's something interesting that I just found out from reading the Bristol Hotel Wikipedia Page:

"In 1988 Valerie Solanas, author of the S.C.U.M. Manifesto and attempted assassin of Andy Warhol, died in the SRO Bristol Hotel in San Francisco. Richard Ramirez (a.k.a. Night Stalker) stayed in the same hotel, room 315, during his killing spree in 1985."

No, I didn't stay at the Bristol Hotel.

That place is the most fun

That place is the most fun since the Bates Hotel.

I've always liked the signage in SF. I'm glad I'm not the only one!
