These first few pictures aren't from today, but I thought I'd just lump them in here instead of creating separate pages. I was riding to a wesTLUG (West Toronto Linux Users Group) meeting after work on Tuesday. This is the Credit River in Mississauga, looking north from the Burnhamthorpe Rd. bridge. |

Oops. I left a milk bottle full of water in the freezer overnight. It cracked up nicely. |

On Thursday night, Jen and I met up downtown after work to go to MEC and get some dinner. Across the street from the restaurant on King St. we saw this abandoned bike. Still locked, but the whole thing was spraypainted gold, including the chain and bike rack. |

If you look closely, you can see the City's "remove this bike or we'll take it away soon" tag. |

Today I went for a ride with Jen all over the city. We took a very casual pace, which was nice because it was so hot out! After riding down Royal York to the lake, the first stop was by these little inukshuk statues someone had erected. |

Me and the inukshuks. |

One of them doing a great balancing act, and another one with a surrender flag. ;-) |

I found some bones (seagull?) and part of a coconut, so I decided to add a little to the art. |

My bone-man, some inukshuks, and people paddling their canoe on the lake. |

Out next destination was Kensington Market. On the way there, we rode up Spadina...here's the corner of Spadina and Dundas. |

After browsing around Kensington Market, we stopped at a vegetarian asian restaurant. Jen's enjoying a dumpling appetizer. |

Our next big stop was at Dundas Square. This burned-out SUV was part of some kind of art awareness project.....oil-consumption bad, etc..etc... |

Notice the ad for the "green" happy earth enviro-friendly SUV way up there in the background? Mmmmkay. |

It was really friggin' hot, so we stopped here to splash through the Dundas Square fountains. I think this was the highlight of my whole weekend. |

See how much fun you can have riding a bike around and enjoying the simple things like splashing around in a fountain? |

Here's Jen running through one of the fountains. |

We were the oldest people getting this wet in the fountains. I think everyone else was missing out! |

Gettin' right in there. I'm sure I was the "coolest" guy around. |

After Dundas Square, we rode down to the easternmost end of Queen St., and then headed North towards Dufferin St. We spent some time looking around Jen's Dad's old neighbourood, although we didn't know exactly which house was his. We stopped in a schoolyard for a while to relax under some trees and drink some water. Apparently, the humidity makes Jen's hair all poofy! |

My bike, leaned up against a tree. |

After zig-zagging through the Danforth neighbourhoods, we headed back west along Danforth, and then over the Bloor Viaduct, crossing the Don River. |

Another picture of Jen in the Bloor Viaduct bike lane. |

A little further up Bloor St. is this crazy looking structure. No, not Jen. I'm talking about the ROM building that looks like it's under construction with all those wild steel beams all over the place. I need to photograph it from some other angles someday. |

Last stop before going home.....Dinner! We ate at an Italian place on Bloor St., a block west of Bathurst right next to Honest Ed's. Great evening for hanging out on the patio! |
