Today was a gorgeous day. It was extremely clear and sunny, and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. And finally the temperature had dropped back down to "winter" levels. I think it went down to about -12C later in the day. I went for a short walk to the swanky Goodwill store just around the corner from here (bought some music tapes!), and then walked around the 'hood a little more. Oh, here are a couple of pictures taken from my balcony, looking east towards downtown Toronto.

It was very cold out, so I had to try the new Powerdry balaclava I bought at MEC a few weeks ago. I also decided to try out a pair of safety glasses for riding.

Not only was this get-up practical and warm, but it was also incredibly stylish and sexy.

I rode downtown via Bloor, Dundas, and College. I got to Chinatown around 6:00, so I locked up my bike and wandered around for a bit. My wanderings took me through Kensington Market, and also a few of the asian stores. Kensington Market is pretty quiet and empty on a Sunday night, much different from the hustle and bustle of Saturday afternoon.

Spadina is still pretty busy, considering it's Sunday night.

I like that this place sells fruits and fruits. Quite the selection!

Just a random picture of a chinese noodle house at Spadina and Dundas. Doug actually recommended this place as a food option, though we ended up eating at the Hello Saigon vietnamese place farther north.

After walking around Spadina and Kensington Market for a while, I was getting very cold. I was planning on meeting up with Juergen, Doug, and Tanya for dinner, but I couldn't remember the name of the chosen vietnamese restaurant, so we all met up outside at Spadina and Dundas. The hot tea at the restaurant was a very welcome sight when we got inside.

Doug, Tanya, Vic, and Juergen at Hello Saigon on Spadina. Juergen is in town for a few days, so we decided to meet up for some food and chat about bikes. Coincidentally, much like our HPVOoO gatherings in Ottawa. We had a great time talking about bike stuff and everything else. Could this be the start of an HPV group in Toronto?
