HPVOoO

PICTURE DESCRIPTION
HPVOoO Sunday, June 4, 2006. This is the day after Jody and Henk's wedding. Jen and I had been camping in Cantley Quebec for the weekend, and today we rode back to Ottawa. Jen took this picture of me on my Bike Friday folding bike, just before we turned onto Highway 307 south. The flowers on my rack are from the wedding!
HPVOoO Here I am, riding through the grass near one of the pathways in Hull.
HPVOoO Jen riding infront of me as we cross the Alexandra Bridge back into Ottawa. The Parliament Buildings are across the river on the right.
HPVOoO We had some lunch and did some riding downtown. I saw this bike go by on Bank St., and then we later saw it locked up on Gladstone, so I took a picture. Pretty neat recumbent chopper!
HPVOoO In the evening, Jen and I met up with the HPVOoO gang for the usual Sunday night dinner and bike ride. Here's Richard all ready to ride his new tallbike that he bought from Mike Watson.
HPVOoO Dustin "The Purple Pirate" and Farah "The Smiling Yogi" joined us for dinner and the ride! They had just finished their cross-Canada 5000 For Health! bike tour from Vancouver to Ottawa on a Micwic back-to-back recumbent tandem bike.
HPVOoO I had been following their travels online for a couple of months, and drooled all over the online pictures of the fantastic bike they were riding. Farah even had an article about it in the latest issue of Velo Vision magazine.
HPVOoO It was so cool to watch them ride down Somerset St., especially with Farah looking backwards!
HPVOoO Jason was riding his new Bachetta Giro recumbent.
HPVOoO Brian Martin on his Bachetta and Charles on Swing Bike II (built by Mike Watson).
HPVOoO Just riding along...
HPVOoO Dustin taking a break from all the pedalling.
HPVOoO Mark was riding the BMX trike, also built by Mike Watson.
HPVOoO Richard on the Tall-Bike.
HPVOoO Bryan Larsen, riding Jason's RANS Rocket.
HPVOoO Jen pulled up along side of Dustin to have a chat while riding.
HPVOoO We stopped at the Gelato place on Elgin St. to "refuel" and just hang around chatting.
HPVOoO
HPVOoO Greg, Grant, and Rayna.
HPVOoO After gelato, we rode back to Richard and Mark's 'hood to do some ride swapping. Here are a few photos of Mike Watson taking Dustin for a ride on his "2-Tall" tandem tall-bike!
HPVOoO Check out Mike's reflecto-helmet!
